Presenter Bios:

Jonathan Marcus, MD
Dr. Jonathan Marcus is a family physician in Toronto and researcher at the IHPME. He combines over 25 years of experience in primary care as well as leadership, advocacy and communication. He has an interest in digital health, particularly new approaches to interoperability. His focus is on architecting solutions that allow system users at all levels –- patients, providers, organizations and system planners—to contribute to and share access to aggregated health and system data updated in real-time. He believes that the right interventions will improve system efficiency and patient safety while decreasing burnout.
