Kevin Brophy, MD
Dr. Kevin James Brophy is a dynamic Family Physician and passionate advocate for digital health solutions. He blends his clinical expertise with a deep understanding of healthcare administration and technology to improve patient care and streamline workflows. As part owner, director, and practicing Family Physician of Your Health Votre Sante Family Medicine Clinic, Dr. Brophy has spearheaded the successful integration of digital tools (ie. AI Scribes, online booking, secure 2-way patient messaging, remote staff) for optimizing processes, QI initiatives, and enhancing patient access. His leadership roles include SGFP’s Digital Health Lead since 2024, OntarioMD and Telus Health CHR Community of Practice Co-Chair since 2023, OntarioMD Peer Leader since 2022, and OMA’s Practice Management and Billing Presenter since 2019 where he actively contributes to the evolution of digital health in Ontario. As a sought-after presenter and peer leader, he shares his insights and mentors colleagues on leveraging technology for practice efficiency. Dr. Brophy’s commitment to modernizing clinical pathways, advocating for physician friendly health system integrations, leveraging the power of AI tools, and reducing administrative burdens underscores his dedication to improving the healthcare landscape for both patients and providers.
Ali Jalali, MD
Dr. Ali Jalali, MD, is the Associate Dean of External Relations at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Medicine. A bilingual medical educator and sports medicine specialist, he is known for integrating and researching digital tools such as podcasts, YouTube, and social media to enhance medical education. His work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, presented at international conferences, and featured on platforms like TEDx. He has received multiple awards, including the AFMC John Ruedy Award for Innovation in Medical Education. Currently, his research concentrates on investigating AI’s potential to drive innovation in both academic and administrative fields.
Chandi Chandrasena, MD
Dr. Chandrasena joined OntarioMD (OMD) as its Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in 2021. She is a family physician practicing in Ottawa for almost 20 years and a former OMD Physician Peer Leader who has mentored many of her colleagues to use EMRs and digital health tools effectively to enhance patient care. As CMO, she provides clinical advice at provincial and national tables and clinician advisory groups and is instrumental in forging system-level partnerships.
Stephanie Zhou, MD
Dr. Stephanie Zhou practices Addiction Medicine at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Family Medicine at the Don Mills Family Health Team.
She graduated from a MD/MSc program jointly with the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, and Rotman School of Management. Dr. Zhou completed family medicine residency at the University of Toronto’s Department of Family and Community Medicine.
Dr. Zhou has an interest in medical education and equity, diversity and inclusion. She co-developed the Diversity Mentorship Program, the first of its kind among Canadian medical schools. She is also a Lecturer for the Financial Literacy Curriculum for the undergraduate and post-graduate medical programs.
Outside of medicine, she serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity GTA, impacting health outcomes through affordable housing.
Suzanne Strasberg, MD
Dr. Suzanne Strasberg, MD, CCFP, ICD.D is a family physician and respected health care leader whose career spans clinical practice, medical association leadership, and system transformation.
She has held many senior roles with the Ontario Medical Association (OMA), including board chair, president, and committee chair for communications, strategic planning, and family health organization negotiations. Nationally, she has been deeply involved with the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), serving as board member, co-chair of the Committee on Public/Private Interface, and most recently as Chair of the CMA Board (2019–2025).
Beyond medical associations, Dr. Strasberg was Chair of MD Financial Holdings Inc. (2014–2018), provincial primary care lead at Cancer Care Ontario (2012–2018), and a founding member of the Coalition of Family Physicians of Ontario.
Her clinical interests include pediatrics, adolescent medicine, gynecology, and palliative care.
