Presenter Bio:

Zainab Abdurrahman, MD

Dr. Zainab Abdurrahman (she/her) is an allergist and clinical immunologist practicing in the Greater Toronto Area mainly in Mississauga. She is also an adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor in Pediatrics at McMaster University. With a deep passion for addressing health disparities, particularly among equity-deserving populations, she has played a pivotal role in the Black Scientists Taskforce on COVID-19 Vaccination Equity and the Black Health & Vaccine Initiative, in collaboration with the Black Physicians of Ontario (BPAO).
In addition to her work in equity and public health, Dr. Abdurrahman has a keen interest in the intersection of technology and medicine, striving to harness innovation to improve patient care and medical practice. Her leadership in the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) and OntarioMD reflects her commitment to advancing the medical profession. She has served in various capacities, including as a peer leader and as a board director at OntarioMD. Currently, Dr. Abdurrahman holds the position of President-Elect and board director at the OMA, where she is serving her second term. She will assume the role of President of the OMA on May 1, 2025, continuing her impactful work to shape the future of healthcare in Ontario.
