Embedding guidelines into clinical decision support
By the end of this session, participants will be able to describe how AI integration can enhance adherence to Canadian clinical guidelines by family practices (e.g., CTFPHC, NACI, Choosing Wisely Canada), assess the potential of AI-powered co-pilots to improve patient care and reduce documentation burden in team-based primary care, and identify opportunities to apply AI-enabled decision support tools to optimize clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.

Dr. Paul Forman is a seasoned family physician with over 30 years of experience, practicing in Ontario since 2003. He runs a busy Family Health Organization associated Family practice alongside his wife, also a family doctor, and a dedicated team of two registered nurses.
