Enhancing Cervical Screening Pathways: A Novel EMR Toolbar for Efficient and Accurate Access

This session will see attendees learn how the implementation of a cervical screening toolbar can help reduce delays and close the care gap. It will also discuss how effective and timely cervical screening, follow-up, and treatment is critical to positively impacting women’s health.

Presenter Bios:

Rebecca Wray

Rebecca Wray, MD

Dr. Rebecca Wray is the Regional Primary Care Lead, Central East Regional Cancer Program (CE RCP). Dr. Wray obtained her Masters in Sociology at McGill University and a BScH Queens University in Life Sciences She completed her Doctor of Medicine at Queen’s University and then went on to complete her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto (Mount Sinai Hospital). Dr. Wray continues her involvement with Queen’s University as a community preceptor for medical students and resident physicians. In addition to a busy family practice in Port Perry, Dr. Wray is also a community palliative care physician, attending to patients in their homes as well as at Oak Ridges Hospice. She also provides primary care to Indigenous patients at the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation Health Centre. Dr. Wray sits on numerous boards and committees and is also the Primary Care Co-Lead for the Durham Ontario Health Team. She is passionate about health promotion and works tirelessly to improve the delivery of primary care services in the community.

Shannon Bourke

Shannon Bourke

Shannon Bourke is the Director, Regional Programs of the Central East Regional Cancer Program which includes Cancer Screening & Prevention and the Indigenous Cancer Program. She is also the Smoking Cessation Champion for the Central East Region. She holds her Bachelor of Health Sciences with Specialization in Health Promotion and a Masters degree in Health Studies. Through her education and over 16 years of experience in the healthcare system, Shannon has learned how to successfully engage in change management, program development, and implement innovative programs. In collaboration with her amazing team at the Central East Regional Cancer Program, they have been able to achieve great things together since she began in her role there in March 2022.

Jennifer Littlejohn

Jennifer Littlejohn is a Practice Enhancement Consultant with the OMD Advisory Service at OntarioMD.  Jennifer has been working in Healthcare for over 25 years and applies her knowledge of practice workflows, digital health technology and change management to support clinicians and their practices in achieving their population health and quality improvement goals.  Jennifer has her Bachelor of Arts Degree and has completed her Certificate in Quality and Safety from the Institute of Healthcare Improvement.
